Hotel Escala Central del Norte

Slightly obscure location near the north bus station in Mexico city. Very large clean room with king sized bed. Bathroom had toilet and a bidette. Lovely really. We had a street facing room which might bother some due to traffic noise . Shampoo ,conditioner and bar soap provided and a small water. No kleenex in room. Plug in and USB ports over head of bed. For 500 pesos we were quite pleased.

Very inexpensive but quite nice. We had a large room with king bed and lots of room. The wifi was good, the hot water was hot and the place was clean. The guy at the front desk was very helpful in arranging rides and the cafeteria, while quite satisfactory was a bit understaffed as they served room service as well as the sit-in breakfasters like us. If you are a light sleeper and don't have earplugs I'd suggest you ask for a room that doesn't front on the main drag. It didn't bother us, though it could others.

Very nice place to stay. Cristian Ibanez was very nice and helpful during the night shift. I'm definitely staying here again when I visit Mexico City.

This hotel is full-on retro, welcome to 1983! However odd and quaintly dated it may be, it's still clean, convenient, and well-located. Staff is friendly and it's just a few minutes on foot to the Centrale del Norte bus station. It's on a main road so it's noisy and the building shakes from the traffic but for the location and price you can't beat it.

I stayed in room 154 the night of Thursday, October 6, 2022. I paid 650 pesos, which converted to $32.53 (USD) when I paid with my debit card. I chose this location because it is near the bus station and I just needed a place to sleep after traveling almost twenty hours from Tapachula. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, even without heat or AC. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. My only complaints were that there were no windows, or other natural light, and the toilet didn't flush properly, so I had to fill the waste basket with water and flush it that way. I would stay here again.

Wonderful service and great amenities. For the price, the room felt like a suite. It was really spacious. The only thing that I would suggest is updating the USB ports; they did not work with our phones. Overall, good hotel. Closed to the Bus Terminal.

This hotel was pretty clean the staff pretty friendly No heat and no ac but for that price I think it’s worth it If you don’t like it there’s more hotels but you have to pay more so stop complaining

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Escala, as we had to leave CDMX for a flight back home. Room, which included a jacuzzi, was large and very comfortable. The staff were professional and very attentive. Christian welcoming while confirming our reservation at the front counter. Alejandro at the counter was friendly and gladly answered question. Ruth at the restaurant made the coffee we ordered just right. I look forward to returning.
